Privacy policy
ClipStudio uses only the information needed to provide accounts, editing, generation, and user-directed publishing.
Information processed
- Account identifiers such as email address, phone number, display name, and sign-in provider.
- Plan and usage information associated with the signed-in account.
- Videos, images, audio, prompts, subtitles, and settings the user chooses to process.
- YouTube channel information, recent channel comments, and publishing authorization after the user explicitly connects YouTube.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate users, isolate their sessions and files, run requested editing or generation operations, display their plan, upload a selected finished video, and generate editable replies for comments on their connected channel.
Browser-local data
Editable drafts and their selected local media can be stored in IndexedDB in the user’s browser. Draft records are scoped to the signed-in ClipStudio user ID. Clearing site data removes these browser drafts.
Google and YouTube data
The YouTube OAuth access token remains in page memory and is cleared when the page closes or the user disconnects. ClipStudio uses it to read the connected channel name, load recent channel comments, upload a video when directed, and publish a comment reply only after the user selects Approve & Reply. Editable comment drafts and ignored-comment IDs are stored in browser-local storage, scoped to the signed-in ClipStudio user and YouTube channel. ClipStudio does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
Service providers
When configured, Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore may store authentication and plan data. Optional moving-subject generation sends only the selected image and motion prompt to the configured generation provider after explicit consent. Google and YouTube process data under their own policies.
Security and retention
Application sessions use signed HTTP-only cookies. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. Server-generated media is protected by user ownership checks. Data is retained as needed to operate the service or until it is removed by the user or site operator.
Contact and requests
For access, correction, or deletion requests, contact the site owner using the support email displayed on the ClipStudio Google consent screen.
